This place is absolutely amazing! We have been going here every year since our daughter was a baby, it is a tradition for us every September. I highly encourage those that go to check their Facebook page regularly because they are really great at posting updates on what’s available at that time, so we plan around their updates and have never left disappointed! Something that sets this place a part for us is that there isn’t a lot of “stuff” to do - we LOVE this because it’s just Apple Picking. It’s quiet, relaxing, and just beautiful. We take breaks during picking to just sit in the sun and talk and enjoy the outdoors. It is everything to me!
The only negative I have for this place, is the customer service. We usually bring friends or family when we go and I usually prep them ahead of time that the people working the register are not very kind and every year they have proven this true. There is usually a impatient comment made or judgmental glare by staff while we are paying for our stuff. It’s really frustrating while you are there, but we can typically shake it off by the time we get to the fields. Regardless, this is still where we choose to go because the Orchard is just so wonderful and worth it. I highly recommend it!!
Steve Went above and beyond to help us. LOVE this orchard and sunflower field. Perfect family activity for all, newborn baby to grandparents! Bringing our collapsible wagon was a big help.0
We had an absolutely delightful time tonight. I contacted Wendy via email at least a couple of times asking her questions and I'm so grateful she responded. We brought a little picnic in the form of takeout (which she already gave the OK to via email - thank you Wendy!) and she told us a nice spot we could walk to near the end of the orchard that had some great shade and was perfect for a picnic! After we ate, we went to purchase a basket and pick our apples from the very clearly marked rows of apple trees. We got some good advice about where to go to pick the apples, and the ones we've eaten so far are so yummy!
We went with our children, 1.5 and 3.5 years old. I loved that probably every row we went down had at least one tree with apples that hung down low enough that they could reach and pick themselves! That made it so much better and probably even more enjoyable for my kids. So grateful for that! But they do have those fork basket things (not sure what the actual name is) that you can use to pick apples that are higher up or harder to reach.
We paid $50 for a basket (even though we could have paid $25 for a bag that was smaller) and we didn't even fill the whole thing. If we bring the basket back, we will get $10 off next time, and I hope there will definitely be a next time! If you get a bag, I believe the first one is $25 and the second is $15.
Highly recommend bringing a stroller or wagon or some way to carry your basket out, especially if you have young kiddos! We had a double stroller and we put the basket in one seat and one of our kiddos in the other, and one adult pushed the stroller while the other carried the other child back. It can be a lot of walking for really little kids but they were happy to walk around each time we stopped to pick!
Thank you Wendy so much for a wonderful, no frills, beautiful evening apple picking with our little family! 🍎
Had a great time picking apples with the kids - didn’t appreciate the eye roll and the lack of disrespect from one of the helpers - I asked for 4 bags and I got an eye roll with a statement of “well hope you have fun” in a very rude tone. I stayed positive and said we will have fun making memories. So I give the hospitality a 1 since the only one who was nice was the teenager in braces - but if was a great day and we did have a blast!
We have been coming here for years! It’s our favorite apple picking place because the apples are delicious and the focus is on the experience. We love coming to place to connect as a family
Without bouncy houses or other extra activities. The owners are incredibly nice and generous people. We highly recommend everyone check out CherryHawk!!
This is my family’s favorite place to pick apples. Such a great old fashion experience! I’ve had fun with my family each time I’ve come over the past four years. The apples are also great and the staff is very friendly.
Really love this orchard! The apples are plentiful and delicious. Apples are easy to find, and the farm is simple and so enjoyable.

Look at their website before coming.
They update availability regularly during the season. They had bag and basket options this year. Got plenty of tasty apples. Great place for kids and family. No entry fee, you buy bag or basket and just collect what fills in them. They do have sunflowers during season and many varieties of apples.
